Screening modules

Five checks, one record

Diabetic status

Check glucose control, blood pressure, weight and lipids against guideline targets.

In
HbA1c · fasting and post-meal glucose · BP · weight and height · LDL · creatinine
Out
At target, above target or poor control, with suggested therapy changes
Basis
ADA Standards of Care; WHO Asia-Pacific BMI cut-offs
Open in app

Retina

Photograph both fundi, tick the lesions you see, and get a retinopathy grade with a referral plan.

In
Fundus photo per eye · lesion checklist · image gradability
Out
ICDR grade 0 to 4, macular oedema flag, referral urgency
Basis
ICDR severity scale; ICO guidelines (4-2-1 rule for severe NPDR)
Open in app

Kidney

Read a urine dipstick from a phone photo, add UACR and creatinine, and see the KDIGO risk grid.

In
Dipstick photo on a white card · UACR · serum creatinine
Out
eGFR (CKD-EPI 2021), G and A categories, KDIGO risk, ketone and UTI flags
Basis
KDIGO 2022 and 2024; CKD-EPI 2021 creatinine equation

Diabetic foot

Test sensation and pulses, get an IWGDF risk class, and measure a wound from a photo.

In
Ipswich Touch Test · monofilament · vibration · pulses · ABI · ulcer details
Out
IWGDF risk 0 to 3, Wagner and SINBAD scores, wound area in cm², actions
Basis
IWGDF 2023; Ipswich Touch Test (Rayman 2011); Wagner and SINBAD classifications

Neuropathy and CCM

Combine symptoms, foot tests and corneal confocal nerve metrics to spot small-fibre neuropathy.

In
Symptom checklist · CNFL, CNFD, CNBD from a confocal microscope
Out
Neuropathy status, treatment prompts, recall interval
Basis
Automated CCM thresholds (Perkins 2018); ADA neuropathy guidance

Modules open inside the app, because each one belongs to a patient visit. Add a patient, record consent, then pick a module.

How it works

From findings to a plan

  1. 1

Add a patient and record consent

Name, age, sex and an optional patient ID. No module opens until consent is ticked.

  2. 2

    Work through the modules

Type values, tick findings or take photos of the fundus, dipstick and wound. Results update as you type.

  3. 3

    Read the report

One page with a status per organ, suggested actions, the next screening date and change since the last visit. Print or save as PDF.

About

Complication screening that fits a clinic visit.

DiaScreen brings the checks recommended for people with diabetes into one workflow. It is a prototype for evaluation and teaching, built by Your Name (Your role, your institution).

Privacy and safety

  • Patient records and photos are stored only in the browser on your device. No patient data is sent to a server. The optional AI wound outline (beta) downloads a model file once, about 45 MB, and runs on your device.
  • You are signed out after 15 minutes of inactivity.
  • The app uses a shared demo login. It is not real authentication, so do not enter identifiable patient data on a shared or public device.
  • Not a certified medical device. A clinical deployment needs individual accounts, encrypted storage, audit logs and regulatory approval.
